Whirlwind of Crazy

Hi, I’m Claudia.

While I don’t seem to have a problem writing about the inanities of my everyday life for random strangers to read, I’m having an incredibly hard time trying to come up with anything remotely interesting for this “About Me” page, so bear with me while I just ramble on….

I was born a long, long time ago in Beech Grove, Indiana.  I grew up all over the place but Chicago has always been “home”.  Currently I live in Houston, Texas with my adorable, techno-geek, audiophile husband, Nick, Max the wonder puppy and approximately 11 billion dust bunnies.

I work in HR in the oil and gas industry which allows me to simultaneously pay my bills and feel bad about playing my part in the destroying the environment. 

While my first language is English, I now communicate exclusively with sarcasam, which is good to remember when reading this blog. 

According to a fortune cookie I got last month, I have been “given the chance to take part in an exciting adventure”.  I’m not sure if that means that I’m going to go to Paris or if I’m finally going to find out what is in the back of my closet.  At this point it’s a toss up which one would be more of an adventure.

I hate long walks on the beach, but I do love red wine, shiny things from Tiffany’s, Mexican food and reading.  I have a Rainman like ability to recall copious amounts of useless trivia, so while I can’t tell you the square root of 182458, I can tell you who is singing any given song on the radio at any given time as well as the names and background stories of every character on Gilmore Girls.  Not that any of this comes in handy on a daily basis.

I love getting comments and email, so feel free to state your opinion or offer your suggestions.  However, be forewarned that if you’re a complete ass, I will probably publish your email and mock you unmercifully.

Yes, I am aware of how much this “About Me” section sucks, but if I’ve left something out that you’re just dying to know…just ask and I’ll probably answer.
